Bremen (dpa / lni) – The opening evening «Edvard» of the festival «Tanz Bremen» revolves around the love and suffering of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. In total, more than 20 international productions will take place from 6 to 13 February 2015 on Bremen’s stages.
“It’s about culture shock and physical encounter,” announced festival director Sabine Gehm on Tuesday in Bremen. Choreographer Christian Ubl lets his performers in leather pants sound out the meaning of rituals and rebellion to the sound of drumbeats and cow bells. Israel Galván’s German premiere “FLA.CO.Men” features a dance concert with lightning fast flamenco, drums and saxophone.
