CHRISTIAN UBL PRESENTS ANIMA AT THREE C-L

On November 19, the TROIS C-L is hosting a luminous piece designed by Christian Ubl, Anima. This explores the question of gender with risk and brilliance, to stimulate a new era.
Following The Fifth Season (2021), a poetic fantasy for eight dancers, a musician and a videographer, which upset order and power by taking the popular carnival as a symbol, Christian Ubl signs Anima. This new piece is part of a cycle of creation that takes up the questions raised by the transgression, modification or evolution of our identities.
A creation for young audiences
Anima values growing and assumed self-confidence. She explores the masculine, the feminine, the binarity, the freedom to seize codes and symbols, with risk and brilliance, to stimulate a new era… It is the highlighting of identity and the sometimes confused and complex of a child-adolescent who discovers his singularity; the disagreement that may exist between his body, his desires, his image and his deep feelings.
The younger generation is questioning the notion of gender and the non-binarities between man and woman. Far from a political or community manifesto, Anima poses these bodies in question on stage, between manga aesthetics, abstraction, non-gendered figures and live music, as a moment of sharing to develop our view of the society to come.
